Using Louisville Parents Network

Louisville Parents Network ("LPN," "we," "us") is a free, moderated community for Louisville-area parents and caregivers. By creating an account or using the site, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.

Your account

• You need to be 18 or older to create an account. This site is for parents and caregivers, not children.
• Keep your login details to yourself — you're responsible for what happens on your account.
• Give us accurate information (a real email, an honest username).

The community deal

This place works because people are honest and kind. When you post, you agree to:

• Share only your own first-hand experience in reviews — not rumors or hearsay.
• Be respectful. No harassment, hate, or personal attacks.
• Keep it relevant and honest — no spam, no advertising, no pay-for-placement.
• Not name and shame individual employees, and not post accusations of abuse, neglect, or illegal activity. Those belong with the authorities who can act on them (see our FAQ) — we can't publish them.
• Respect others' privacy — don't share anyone's personal information.

Moderation

Everything you submit is reviewed by a real person before it goes live. We may approve, ask for edits, decline, or remove content, and we may suspend accounts that break these terms. We try to be fair and transparent, and we'll usually tell you why.

Your content

What you post is yours. By posting, you give us permission to display and distribute it on the site as part of the community archive. Once a review is published it becomes part of that shared record and isn't removed on request from the business reviewed — though verified owners may post one reply. You can edit or delete your own content; some of it (like contributions to a thread) may persist in the archive.

The marketplace

Buying and selling happens directly between members. We're not a party to those transactions, we don't handle payments, and we don't guarantee items, prices, or people. Use good judgment, meet safely, and inspect before you pay.

No professional advice, no guarantees

Information here comes from other parents sharing their experiences — it isn't professional, medical, legal, or licensing advice. We don't verify every claim, and listings or reviews may be incomplete or out of date. Always do your own homework before making decisions about your family's care, schooling, or health. The site is provided "as is," and to the extent the law allows, we're not liable for decisions you make based on it.

Ending things

You can stop using LPN and close your account anytime. We may suspend or close accounts that violate these terms or harm the community.

Changes

We may update these terms as the site grows. We'll update the date above and, for significant changes, give you a heads-up. Continuing to use the site means you accept the current version.
