Why we built this

If you're a parent in Louisville, you already know the routine: a question comes up — which daycare, which pediatrician, is this school worth it — and you go hunting. A Facebook group here, a Google review of unknown provenance there, a few texts to the two other parents you know. You piece together an answer and hope it's right. There's never been one trusted, local, moderated place to ask. So we made one.

The model

We took our cue from the Berkeley Parents Network, which has quietly served Bay Area families since 1993 by doing a few unglamorous things well: staying local, staying moderated, refusing ads, and insisting on real first-hand experience from other parents. It works because parents trust it. We're bringing that same idea to Louisville.

What makes it trustworthy

• Every post is read by a real person before it goes live.
• Reviews have to be first-hand — your own experience, not something you heard.
• No ads, no pay-for-placement, and we don't sell your data.
• You're pseudonymous by default, so you can be honest without it following you around.

What it's for

Finding childcare, schools, activities, and health providers. Asking real questions and getting answers from local parents who've actually been there. And an archive that only gets more useful the longer it exists.

What it's not

It's not a social network and it's not an engagement machine. There's no feed to doomscroll and nothing here is trying to keep you online. It's a utility — you use it when you have a need, and you get on with your day when it's met.

The invitation

This is built by and for Louisville parents, and it gets better as more of us share honest experience. If a daycare changed your life or a class was a waste of a Saturday, that's exactly the kind of thing another parent is searching for right now. Tell them.
